An Invitation to a Free Summer Evening Ramble
August 3, 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Residents are invited to come on a free local walk over some of the outstanding countryside in and around the parish of Cofton Hackett.
Taking about 2.5 hours, it will be an easy but scenic evening ramble of 4.5 miles, taking in lovely views of lush pastureland, the Lickey Hills and Upper Bittell Reservoir. We will be passing sites of buildings long gone but also existing ancient remains.
The route includes 4 stiles but will be suitable for anyone of average fitness and there will be frequent stops. However, there will be an opportunity to retire to a pub and return by taxi if necessary!
Please note that dogs must be on leads because we will be near to a Site of Special Scientific Interest, livestock and road traffic. Also children are welcome but should be supervised at all times.
Because some paths may be muddy and uneven in places this walk will not be suitable for pushchairs, walking boots or strong shoes are the recommended footwear. Please feel free to bring your own water/refreshments.
The walk is on Wednesday, 3rd August 2016.
Please meet at Myhill Field at the end of Chestnut Drive B45 8AB to begin walking at 18.30.
