The Parish Council had a Zoom meeting with St Modwen and their planning consultants on April 14 to discuss the revised plans for Phase Three of the Longbridge East development.
Following the large number of complaints that had been lodged with regard to the original proposals, St Modwen have now drawn up a revised scheme which will be submitted to Bromsgrove District Council in due course. The significant changes to the proposed plan are as follows
- The five storey apartments planned for Groveley Lane have been removed
- The site will now comprise more traditional family housing with the density being reduced from 168 dwellings to 109 dwellings.
- There will be some two-storey maisonettes and some three storey houses but the majority will be traditional two-storey houses.
- Vehicular access to the site will be via East Works Drive, but there will be two pedestrian/cycle access outlets onto Groveley Lane.
The detailed plans can be seen by following the links below. These are still draft plans and there may be some minor amendments before they are submitted to the District Council. Any comments or questions should be addressed to the Parish Council via the Council’s clerk.
