We have received this notice of road closure on Barnt Green Road from Worcestershire Highways. This is presumably to rectify the constant flooding we experience on the road, and which the Parish Council and residents have been complaining about for a considerable time. Let’s hope it goes ahead this time.

Proposed Order: to close that part of B4120 Barnt Green Road from its junction with U23004 Ten Ashes Lane to its junction with U23002 Reservoir Road
Reason: Drainage Work/Flood Alleviation.
Exemptions: to permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: B4120 Barnt Green Road, B4120 Kendal End Road, B4120 Bittel Road,
B4120 Redditch Road, A441 Birmingham Road, B4096 Longbridge Lane, B4096 Grovelley Lane, B4096 Grovelley Lane (Birmingham County) and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 5 days Commencing: 21 October 2019
